During the last 30 years Byron Evans has worked in the Commercial function of Rank Amusements, RAL Ltd, Talarius and Praesepe. At various times each of these companies has been the largest AGC operator in the UK gaming sector.

In his most recent role, he was Commercial Director at Praesepe for 10 years, assisting in growing the company from an AIM listed shell to a £120million turnover group which was subsequently sold to Gauselmann Group, Europe’s second largest gaming machine manufacturer, in 2012.

In his senior role in these businesses Byron has been closely involved in acquisition and disposal deals totalling over £0.5 billion and a total of 350 arcades, bingo clubs and FEC's. He has also bought and sold dozens of properties and going concerns in the UK market.

Byron Evans was previously a member of the Compliance Committees of both BACTA and the Bingo Association. Byron Evans holds a Personal Management Licence issued by the Gambling Commission and has held Personal Liquor Licences.

He is a frequent guest speaker and panellist at conferences in both the UK and in Europe and is regarded as one of the UK’s leading experts on the practical interpretation and implementation of Gaming Regulation, Compliance and SR.
